Woolacombe Bay Hotel's first civil ceremony!

Saturday 24th March saw the first ever civil ceremony take place at the Woolacombe Bay Hotel. I was there to photograph the wedding of Caroline and Ian who came down from Bristol with their family and friends to celebrate the occasion. It was a glorious spring day and the sun shone down as the happy couple tied the knot at this beautiful coastal location.

Spring wedding in the heart of the Devon countryside

Tracey and Richard

had to brave the freezing spring weather as their marriage took place at the Fox & Hounds Hotel, Eggesford on 17th March. Tracey looked stunning in her crimson wedding gown with leopard skin accessories! With a fine display of spring daffodils setting off the beautiful scenery and despite the rather chilly weather conditions a great time was had by all.

Tracey & Richard were the lucky winners of the NDJH autumn bridal magazine wedding competition with the prize consisting of full coverage of their wedding, complete with an individually designed storybook album.

Northcote Manor Show

We attended our last wedding show of the season on Sunday at the Northcote Manor Country House Hotel North Devon. Visitors to the show were slightly down on last year but we still were still kept busy on our stand talking to bride and grooms for weddings in 2008 and 2009. Most of the couples had not confirmed exact dates for their weddings but we spoke to five or six prospective bride and grooms about their wedding photography at some length. One couple have since confirmed the date for their wedding and are coming to my studio this evening to discuss their requirements for August 2008.
The wedding shows that we have attended since October have proved very successful and now look forward to the start of the wedding season which starts in ernest this Saturday.

Front page news (again !!)

This is just brilliant news - I have just received a email from a bridal magazine asking if they can use another of my images for the front cover of the forth coming spring issue. This will be the second time I have been asked to provide a photograph to be used out of the last three issues.

Narnia Wedding

My first wedding of the year was Jim and Sara's which took place on January 13th 2007 at St Brannocks Parish Church Braunton, was themed around Narnia. Complete with wardrobe and lamppost, although the weather was rather cold everybody had a great day as you can see from the image of Sara above. Bridal Shows

With the wedding fair season coming to an end, we have been kept very busy. The couple of shows that we exhibited at were very successful, with Helen and I meeting lots of future bride and grooms at the Arlington Court and Saunton Sands Hotel shows. A few of the last available dates for 2007 were snapped up and bookings for 2008 and even one for 2009 were taken. Our last wedding show is on 11th March 2007 at Northcote Manor Hotel.
