Rachel & Russell marry at Saunton Sands

Saturday 29th September

The day started earlier than normal this week as the groom Russell, who is a keen surfer was joined by his close friends and brother as they rode the waves on Saunton beach, before his marriage to Rachel at the hotel. The weather was fine to begin with but during the ceremony itself the heavens opened and the group photographs had to be taken inside. However we managed to get down the beach to catch ten minutes for some shots before the next downpour with the wet sand and stormy clouds providing a dramatic backdrop.

A Humanist celebration for Lynsey & Ashley

Lynsey and Ashley spent the weekend at the magnificent Sheafhayne Manor near Honiton with close family and friends culminating in a Humanist wedding ceremony on the Sunday. Everyone travelled down from the north for the celebration and despite the rather unpleasant weather conditions a great time was had by all. We managed to snatch five minutes outside to make the most of the beautiful grounds and use the manor house as a backdrop for some special photographs of the happy couple.

Here comes the bride all pretty in pink!

Hazel and Daniel from Torrington were joined by family and friends as they married in a civil ceremony at the Fox & Hounds Hotel, Eggesford.
Hazel looked stunning in pale rose-pink dress set off with a bouquet of pink and white roses. After the ceremony I photographed the family and friends groups in the Hotel gardens before taking the happy couple into the nearby woods for some romantic shots. Hazel and Daniel spent their honeymoon cruising in the Med-very nice too!

Marie & Mark marry at The Holy Cross, Crediton

Marie and Mark were joined by close family and friends at the weekend as they married at the magnificent Holy Cross Church, Crediton. After group shots outside the church in the glorious sunshine we went back inside to make the most of the beautiful interior.

The bridal party made their way back to the Devon Hotel whilst I took Marie and Mark to the nearby Shobrooke Park for some special photographs using the stunning bridge over the large lake as a backdrop.

This location is particularly significant to the couple as they walk their dog there most days.

Old schoolboy returns to Stoodleigh to marry!

Nicholas and Kristen married at Stoodleigh Court bringing back memories of the old days as this was where Nicholas went to school. The American bride was joined by her parents and grandmother who flew in to celebrate the occasion with members of the groom's family and the couple's closest friends. The bride looked stunning in a gown edged with scarlet piping with a matching bouquet.

Fun on the beach at Exmouth

I travelled to Exmouth on Saturday to photograph the wedding of Victoria and Andrew. The groom wore a kilt in his traditional family tartan as did other members of his family who came down from Scotland for the occasion. The service took place at the Holy Trinity Church followed by reception at the Royal Beacon Hotel.

After group photographs at the church I took the bride and groom to Exmouth beach for some special shots using the dramatic coastline and the beach huts as a backdrop.

The happy couple are honeymooning in Italy.

Sarah & James

I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of James and Sarah as they married at the Church of St. Hieritha Chittlehampton amongst their close family and friends. The sun shone for the happy couple as they posed for photographs in and around the church before we all made our way to the High Bullen Hotel for the afternoon and evening receptions. Before the sun set we made the most of the beautiful views from the Hotel over Exmoor and surrounding countryside. James and Sarah are spending their honeymoon in Bali.
