Lucy & Jon marry at The Fox & Hounds Hotel

The Fox & Hounds Hotel, Eggesford was the setting for the marriage of Jon and Lucy a few weeks ago. The sun shone all day as guests gathered from as far away as Derby to join the happy couple for the civil ceremony at the country hotel. The group phots were taken in the stunning gardens then I took Jon and Lucy to the nearby woods for some romantic shots in amongst the beautifully lit trees. After drinks in the garden everyone made their way back into the hotel for the wedding reception which was later followed by and evening party. The couple are taking a belated honeymoon in August.

A change of wedding venue for Tracey & Spencer!

The Icelandic volcanic ash cloud has been causing havoc with our wedding couples again, this time with Tracey and Spencer from Weston-Super-Mare. They were due to fly to Cyprus together with a small group of family and friends to get married some weeks ago but due to fight problems they had to make drastic last minute changes. Luckily, The Northcote Manor Hotel were able to accomodate them last Friday and with just a week or so to go before the wedding they asked me to photograph the wedding for them. The weather didn't quite match up to that of Cyprus but everyone still had a wonderful time and as always there were lots of photo opportunities available in the beautiful gardens currently covered in spring flowers.

Claire makes the font cover again!

Claire Jeffery has made the front cover again, this time on the North Devon Brides wedding magazine. The shot taken at her wedding in September and shows her running down over the sand dunes on Saunton beach.  

The sun shines for Claire & Matthew on their wedding day

Sunshine was the order of the day again this weekend as Claire and Matthew married at All Saints, Winkleigh. The bride arrived at the church in a magnificent cream carriage drawn by two beautiful black horses and the groom arrived in a tractor! Two hundred guests attended the wedding and reception which was held at the Fox & Hounds Hotel, Eggesford. I took photographs of the happy couple in the hotel grounds and the nearby woods before returning them to their guests at the hotel for speeches outside followed by the wedding breakfast. The whole day was a great success but unfortunately due to the problems with flights out of the country, the honeymoon to Tunisia has had be postponed until November. However, Claire and Matthew spent a couple days in Torquay instead and were able to come and look at their wedding photographs a week earlier than expected!

A lovely spring wedding for Amanda & Matt

Local couple Amanda and Matt were blessed with a lovely spring day as they married at Parkham Church at the end of last month. After the wedding service family and friends gathered at The Fox & Hounds Hotel, Eggesford for the reception. Before joining their guests, the bride and groom had some photos taken in and around the beautiful gardens of the hotel. The happy couple spent their honeymoon in Kenya and just managed to get back one day before the dispruption hit the arlines!

Wedding Fayre is a great success!

The Saunton Sands Wedding Fayre which took place last Sunday was a huge success with three couples securing dates for their weddings at the show and two calling the following day to confirm dates. Unfortunately we had to turn away another booking for next year as it clashed with a date that had already been taken. Numbers attending the Fayre were down on last year due to The Fox & Hounds holding their event on the same day.
