Sunshine for Katrina & Simon's Big Day!

The weather didn't disappoint earlier this month as Katrina and Simon tied the knot at Fremington Church. After photographing the guests outside the church we went to the nearby Fremington Manor to take shots of the happy couple. Everyone then made their way to the Sandy Cove Hotel for the reception where I photographed the bride and groom using the stunning scenery as a backdrop. In the evening I returned to the Hotel and we went down to Watermouth Castle/Cove to take some more photographs of Katrina and Simon to round off a lovely day. The honeymoon was spent in Cyprus.

Claire & Jonathan marry at Pilton

Local couple Claire and Jonathan chose the bank holiday weekend for their wedding at the end of May. The weather was a little damp so after photographing the bride inside at her parents home in Pilton we made the short trip to the church just down the road. After the wedding ceremony I took some lovely shots of the couple in the church yard by the old lamp then everyone made their way to the Rotary Gardens for the group photos. The reception and evening party was held at the Barnstaple Hotel followed by a honeymoon in Cornwall.

A Saunton Sands wedding for Sarah & Andy

Dorset couple Sarah and Mark were recently married at the stunning Saunton Sands Hotel. Family and friends travelled to North Devon for the civil cermony at the Hotel followed by group photographs outside despite the threat of rain. After the wedding reception I took the bride and groom down to the beach for some romantic informal shots before returning them to their guests for the evening party. Their honeymoon was spent on safari in Kenya.

Sarah & Richard marry at The Watersmeet Hotel

Sunshine was the order of the day as Sarah and Richard married at the Watersmeet Hotel, Woolacombe. The bride and her family who come from Wiltshire, have been spending their holidays in Woolacombe for many years so it seemed only natural for them to return for the wedding! After the civil ceremony and group photos I took the couple down to the beach and made the most of the glorious weather and stunning coastline for some some romantic shots of just the two of them. Sarah and Richard spent their honeymoon in Yorkshire and came back to Devon shortly after to choose the pictures for their storybook album.

A glorious day for Suzanna & James' wedding

A beautiful autumn day greeted family and friends as they gathered for Suzanna and James' wedding.

After the service and group photographs at Northam church I took the bride and groom to Westward Ho! for some dramatic shots on the pebble ridge. The reception was held in a marquee near Abbotsham and I managed to get a shot of the Suzanna and James with all their guests outside of it before the celebrations got into full swing. The happy couple are spending their honeymoon in South Africa.

Sunshine at Burrington for Stehen & Lucy's wedding

The sun came out for Lucy and Stephen on Saturday as they married at Burrington Methodist Church. The bride accompanied by her father and attendants walked through the village to the church where the groom and guests eagerly awaited their arrival. The groom had been driven to the church on a tractor and after the service the happy couple left by the same means. As the guests made their way to the Thelbridge Cross Inn we stopped at a barley field on Burrington Beacon and then at a nearby stream for some romantic shots before rejoining everyone for the wedding reception. The honeymoon is being spent in Tunisia.

A celebration at home for Alison & Rob

Plymtree, near Cullompton was the setting for the wedding of Alison and Rob at the weekend. The bride left home and made her way to the nearby St.John the Baptist church in a carriage drawn by two magnificent black horses. After the service everyone made their way back to home for the wedding reception which was to be held in a marquee in the grounds. Guests gathered in  the lovely gardens at the front of the manor house for drinks before the reception got underway in the early evening.

Bride walks to her own wedding!

St. Giles in the Wood was the setting for the marriage of Sarah and Nick at the weekend and the bride didn't have far to go as the church was right next door to her parent's home! After the service I photographed the bride and groom with their guests in the church grounds before taking the couple to a nearby field for some intimate, fun shots. Sarah and Nick joined their guests at the Cedars Hotel for the wedding reception and travelled there magnificent black Rolls Royce. The couple are spending their honeymoon in Corfu.

No rain for Laura & Jamie as they marry at Langtree!

Langtree Parish church was the setting for the marriage of Laura and Jamie at the weekend. After the wedding service family and friends made their way to the Park Hotel in Barnstaple while I took the bride and groom deep into the Torrington countryside for some relaxed romantic shots. After the wedding reception more guests arrived for the evening party and celebrations continued until the early hours. The couple are spending their honeymoon in Cuba.

An intimate wedding for Nadine & Richard

Nadine and Richard were joined by a gathering of their closest family and friends for their civil wedding at the Yeoldon House Hotel. After the ceremony I took the bride and groom and their guests into the stunning gardens for some relaxed photographs. After the intimate wedding reception the bridal party were joined by a further 100 guests for the evening party.

Non stop rain for Victoria & Steven's big day!

Despite heavy rain nothing could spoil Victoria and Steven's day as they married at the Saunton Sands Hotel last Saturday. Steven's family all travelled down from Liverpool together by bus to join Victoria's family and their friends for the special occasion. Unfortunately due to the bad weather most of the photographs had to be taken inside the hotel but I did manage to take the couple outside after the main reception for some romantic shots under their umbrella. Lets hope that they find some sunshine in Florida where they are currently on honeymoon!

Aikido couple tie the knot!

Aikido enthusiasts Victoria and Richard married at their local St. Mary the Virgin church at the weekend. The vicar and his wife who conducted the ceremony are also keen are followers of the marshal art and made a guard of honour as the bride and groom left the church. The wedding party all made their way down Pilton Street to the Rotary gardens for group photographs before making their way to the Fox & Hounds Hotel, Eggesford for the wedding reception. While the guests enjoyed drinks on the lawn I took Victoria and Richard to the nearby woods for some special shots just by themselves. Victoria's dress was unusually trimmed with shades of blue with a stunning bouquet to match. The happy couple are honeymooning in Egypt in July.
