A glorious day for Tracey & Roger

Saturday 13th June 2009

Tracey and Roger certainly picked the perfect day for their wedding on Saturday as they married at the family's local church in South Molton. After the service the bridal party and guests all made their way across country to The Sandy Cove Hotel, Berrynarbour for the wedding reception. We made good use of the lovely gardens and stunning views for the photographs before retiring to the Hotel for the wedding breakfast, speeches and cutting of the cake. the evening reception was held in the magnificent marquee set within the grounds and everyone danced the night away until the early hours. The couple are honeymooning in Itlay visiting the romantic cities if Venice and Rome.

Non stop rain for Victoria & Steven's big day!

Despite heavy rain nothing could spoil Victoria and Steven's day as they married at the Saunton Sands Hotel last Saturday. Steven's family all travelled down from Liverpool together by bus to join Victoria's family and their friends for the special occasion. Unfortunately due to the bad weather most of the photographs had to be taken inside the hotel but I did manage to take the couple outside after the main reception for some romantic shots under their umbrella. Lets hope that they find some sunshine in Florida where they are currently on honeymoon!

Aikido couple tie the knot!

Aikido enthusiasts Victoria and Richard married at their local St. Mary the Virgin church at the weekend. The vicar and his wife who conducted the ceremony are also keen are followers of the marshal art and made a guard of honour as the bride and groom left the church. The wedding party all made their way down Pilton Street to the Rotary gardens for group photographs before making their way to the Fox & Hounds Hotel, Eggesford for the wedding reception. While the guests enjoyed drinks on the lawn I took Victoria and Richard to the nearby woods for some special shots just by themselves. Victoria's dress was unusually trimmed with shades of blue with a stunning bouquet to match. The happy couple are honeymooning in Egypt in July.

A midweek wedding for Alexandra & Simon

Wednesday 20th May 2009 

Alexandra and Simon were joined by family and friends last Wednesday as they married at their local church, Shirwell in the heart of the North Devon countryside. After the service the bride and groom travelled by horse and carriage to the reception venue which was a beautifully converted sheep shed nearby. During the evening more guests arrived and joined the happy couple as they all danced the night away.

The sun shines for Lorraine & Jason

After a proposal of marriage at the top of the spectacular Scafell Pike in the Lake District local couple Jason married his bride Lorraine at the weekend. After a service at the Torrington Parish Church we stopped off at a nearby bridge for some romantic shots overlooking the stream, then ventured into a dazzling yellow rape-seed field for some more photos with the countryside providing a stunning backdrop. The reception was held at the Park Hotel followed by party in the evening for more family and friends. The honeymoon is being spent in Antigua.

Shrek Wedding

Local couple Christine and Keith opted for a fancy dress themed wedding at The Broomhill Art Hotel Barnstaple, which made for some interesting photographs! They set the standard high as Shrek and Princess Fiona, and among their guests were Dennis the Menace, Wonderwoman and Tinkerbell. The special nature of this wedding has caught the eye of the local and national press so now everyone can share Christine and Keith's unique wedding day.

Sunshine at Watersmeet for Lisa & Gavin

It was a glorious spring day on Saturday as Lisa and Gavin married at the Watersmeet Hotel, Woolacombe. The couple who live in Nottingham were joined by family and friends who made the trip down to the North Devon coast and stayed for the whole weekend. After the civil ceremony I took the bride and groom down to the beach for some stunning shots at the water's edge.
