A midweek trip to Essex!

Last Thursday I travelled to Newland Hall just outside of Chelmsford in Essex to cover the wedding of Carol and Paul. Carol looked resplendent in her elaborately detailed pink bridal gown.
Unfortunately due to continuing bad weather the ceremony had to be conducted inside and not under the gazebo in the beautiful grounds of the Hall which was a great shame.
Nevertheless friends and family enjoyed a lovely day and we managed to take most of the photographs outside in between the showers.

Rowers marry at Eggesford

21st July 2007

The picturesque All Saints Church in Eggesford was the setting for the wedding of Helen De Louvois and Nathan Bliss at the weekend. The couple who are are both keen rowers were joined by family and friends all around the world apart from the unlucky few who were caught up in the floods last Friday.

The weather held up for most of the day in Eggesford which enabled me to make the most of the lovely views in and around the church and the nearby woodland area.

The bridal party travelled the short distance to the Fox & Hounds Hotel
for the wedding reception followed by an evening of dancing and catching up with old friends.

Couple return from Wales to marry in Devon

14th July 2007


Lisa Staddon married her Welsh sweetheart Robert Llewellyn at the beautiful St. Hieritha's Church in Chittlehampton on Saturday.
Robert's family travelled down from Wales to join the couple

and members of Lisa's family to celebrate the happy occasion.

After the service the wedding party moved on to the Northcote Manor Country House Hotel where they enjoyed an afternoon of croquet and music. The wedding breakfast and speeches followed with dancing into the night to a five-piece band.

Tim & June celebrate their 60th Birthdays together

7th July 2007

Tim and June Williams spent the weekend at Northcote Manor with family and friends celebrating their 60th birthdays. The celebrations got under way on Saturday with close family and friends enjoying an afternoon of croquet and other games followed by a delicious cream tea.

Tim and June were joined later in the evening by more friends and enjoyed a superb dinner followed by speeches, fireworks and dancing into the night by courtesy of a fantastic ten piece jazz band.
Some of the guests joined the family and stayed overnight at Northcote,
then enjoyed a leisurely breakfast before all going their separate ways later in the morning.

The sun shines for Stacey & Wayne

7th July 2007

Stacey Pickard and Wayne Turner married at St. Peter's Church in the quaint village of Roborough on Saturday. The sun came out and so did most of the village as the happy couple and their guests left the church and made their way to the Eggesford for the wedding reception. We stopped off at a beautiful wood on the way and took some lovely relaxed shots before joining everyone else back at the hotel. Just before the wedding breakfast started I took Stacey and Wayne up to their room to take a few last pictures on their four poster bed and in a rather grand tub we discovered in the bathroom!

Cummings Family Portrait

Wednesday evening saw Mr & Mrs Cummings
and their children come in for the first portrait
of the whole of the family, after a few nerves, they all enjoyed it !! I hope.
