Nicola & Terry tie the knot!

Nicola James and Terry Hill quite literally tied the knot on Saturday at a Hand fasting celebration in the sacred Spraecombe Woods. The couple met up with a small gathering of close family and friends take part in the ancient ceremony which included rituals such as eating honeyed bread, drinking mead and ending with jumping the broom eight times!
In between the showers the celebration party made their way back to a local venue decorated beautifully by Nicola's Dad to join more friends for a pig roast, country dancing and rides on the Dodgems specially brought in for the occasion.

No rain at Arlington!

As the rest of the country was coping with unusual amounts of rainfall at the weekend Arlington Court stayed dry once again for the wedding of Nicola Thompson and Stephen Barron. The day got off to a rather tricky start as I was nearly seen off the grounds by a rather aggressive peacock, I don't think it liked having it's photograph taken!
The ceremony took place in the Staircase Hall followed by photographs in and around other parts of the house and extensive gardens.
The bridal party and their guests then went on to The Sandy Cove Hotel for the reception and more photographs in the lovely gardens there.

The Mason family back at Orchardleigh

Becky Mason married Pete Brownley at the magnificent Orchardleigh House near Frome in Somerset last Friday.
It was a year ago to the day that I covered the wedding of Becky's sister Pippa at the very same venue!

The wedding ceremony itself took place in the beautiful church which is situated on a small island in the grounds of the country mansion. After the service the bridal party and all the guests walked up through the meadow (stopping for drinks on the way!) to the main house where they enjoyed a lavish reception. The guests spent the rest of the day making the most of the hot and sunny weather by playing croquet, football and other games outside, whilst I took Becky and Pete down to the lake for some informal and more relaxed photographs.

Baby Grace's first portrait

Grace Tweedie came to the studio with her Mummy and Daddy this week for her very first portrait sitting.

She is the third grandchild for proud grandparents Andrew and Pauline and something tells me she isn't going to be the last!

Lorraine & Michael return to their local church to marry

2nd June 2007

Lorraine Mitchell and Michael Chastey returned from their new home in Poole, Dorset to marry at their local church. They were joined by family and friends to celebrate the occasion in the delightful village of Chittlehamholt. The couple left the church in style in a 1932 vintage Rolls Royce as shown in the photograph opposite.

Natalie & Greg marry at Castle Hill

2nd June 2007

Natalie Hughes and Greg Passmore were married last Saturday in the beautiful surroundings of Castle Hill, Filleigh. Greg looked resplendent in his full dress uniform while Natalie wore a stunning bridal gown detailed with burgundy embroidery.

After the ceremony we went down to the famous 'Ugly Bridge' where the couple had a few moments to themselves before having some more photographs taken in and around the grounds of Castle Hill.
